Is a chalet also suitable as a primary residence in the lowlands?
Yes – the chalet style is not tied to the mountains. Why are chalets more expensive than normal timber houses?
Three cost drivers come together: solid timber cross-sections or log beams instead of a simple frame construction, elaborate balcony and roof-overhang structures, and high-quality exposed-timber surfaces inside. How do I plan the living area in a chalet?
