Finnhouse: what is behind the brand
Finnhouse is a Dutch provider that has been planning and building timber houses since 1970. The company, based in Rosmalen, is registered as Finnhouse Houtbouw B.V. and designs villas, residential and leisure homes, business buildings and clubhouses, always individually and made to measure, with an in-house architect.
A hallmark is the post-and-beam timber system, a half-timber architecture suited to modern houses with an open floor plan and large glass facades. The website also names timber-skeleton construction and log building. Construction uses prefabricated wall elements, which the company says are made in Finland.
The company emphasises healthy and ecological living through natural, vapour-open materials such as wood-fibre insulation, as well as biobased and circular building. Fixed final prices are not published; starting prices are available on request via brochure. The focus is on the Netherlands.
